and love how it sounds now! I had originally put on a original exhaust kit on the car when I first put the car together and the kit had been a nightmare from day one, but I put up with it for 10 years. The rattling and leaks finally got to the point that I had to replace the whole system from manifolds back. Went with a Flowmaster 80 series transverse muffler, so its still ran like a stock exhaust system but now with 2 1/2" pipes, h pipe, and a front removable chunk for dropping the trans. I should have done this years ago.

I can practically smell the sweet scent of unburnt hydrocarbons from here. Damn-near perfect idle quality for a vintage V8 pony car.
Are you running the stock cam?

It’s a stock Z/28 cam, the original cam for my motor (327ci/275hp) was a lot more mild.

Mmmm, bumbling V8 idle with just a bit of lope to it... absolute music to my ears.

Yeah, neighbors wouldn't have like that at 6 in the morning when I flimed this, lol
